You have no time to spare for frivolities,
You have worked hard to reach here; you are on a roll…
Deadlines, targets, results and the next promotion
Hey, you really did reach the top of the totem pole.

This is the Freedom that you wanted so bad,
The Freedom to live your dream n achieve all you want.
Proud parents, Bedazzled colleagues, envious friends,
Go ahead, you’ll be excused if you want to show-off or flaunt.

You are very happy, there’s no doubt at all
You don’t need any one to add to your life
Especially not a family which will just tie you down.
You were able to achieve all without all that strife.

Well, here’s a radical thought for you to ponder on
What if it takes a bit longer to reach where you planned to be?
How about a little compromise, a little delay?
Will it be so difficult to balance a career with a family?

What do you call it…

When no one disturbs you in the midst of your football match
When no kids turn to you for hugs after their nightmares?
When you feel the need for that one special person,
To celebrate your successes and wipe away your tears?

How do you feel…

When there is no one to open the door for you…
